I was trying to post a blog post about Twitter.com and when I finally clicked save all I got was a dot "." and my last paragraph hyper linked. This is fairly annoying and if it has happened to anyone else please tell me.
This is when I wish that Vox had the auto save feature that Google incorporates into its products so nicely.
I finally got an invite to Joost (The Venice project.)! My plea to get a invite was never delivered but I got one from just signing up fro the beta. It is an amazing program. The interface is beautiful. It has a "My Joost" screen where you can download and install plugins. So you can be watching a channel and chat with people watching the same show, as well as people on your GTalk list. It already ahs a good many people in its forums so your not likely to run out of support.
It is a very interesting project but it needs some better content. I expect it to do pretty well. OF course I couldn't expect it to do terribly because it is the project of the people who created Skype and Kazaa!
psst! When I have invites I'll try to give them out to people on Vox post a comment if you want one!
Podcasts are an amazing source of news and ideas. So I put together a list of all my favorite podcasts. All tech related of course.
1. TWIT
3. DL.TV
4. Cranky Geeks
I found this site a while ago but didn't think many people would find it very interesting because it had so few widgets. But, now that it has a good amount of Widgets, I think that it is worth checking out. What makes this Widget engine so cool is that you can put the widgets that are on your desktop on a webpage or myspace or whatever. SpringWidgets has really taken off and is now actually useful. I highly recommend that you go check it out and maybe download it.
I've been running a buggy dual-boot of Windows and solaris for a while now and found a app called Project Looking Glass. It works on Linux, Windows, and Solaris and it is written in Java so it could possibly run on many more. It looks extremely nice, but it is fairly new. It is an open source project and allows you to develop apps with it. It also requires much less than Windows areo, but it will take a while to become a Window Manager on its own.
